According to this twitter thread:

Who'da thunk it?

UpstartCrow · 12/10/2018 14:18

There are some really nasty comments from a male poster on that thread. We said they'd find a way to blame feminists for this, and there it is.

DisrespectfulAdultFemale · 12/10/2018 14:20

As I predicted, the case would result in victim blaming.

Hooray me!

(I shall award myself a cookie and a pat on the head.)

I recently asked a Danish friend how it's been working over there.

She had absolutely no idea what I was talking about, and laughed at the very idea of people with fully intact male bodies being permitted into female spaces. She was adamant I'd got that wrong, and said that Danish people would never let that happen.

She lives in Copenhagen, her daughter is a lawyer, son a doctor and she's up to date with current affairs... I didn't know what to make of her response!

I can only conclude that the move to self-ID wasn't properly debated if a woman like her can be completely unaware of it.

arranfan apologies for starting a duplicate thread. I did check first but obviously not very well!

For your Danish friend, Ignatius...

ignatiusjreilly · 12/10/2018 21:16

Thanks BlardyBlar, I'll send it on!

That interview with the Danish individual is insane, BlardyBlar! We have truly reached peak insanity with this. They seem to be making a protest to show that they can identify as female without actually presenting as female in any way from name to physical appearance, clothing or voice. I wonder if this person is really trans or just making a protest at the absurdity, in their eyes, of the gender binary.

There is nothing necessarily dangerous about the genders mixing in changing areas. I've been to spas in Germany that were clothing optional with both genders but I had my spouse with me. I would never have gone there as a lone woman.

If this is a trend for the future, we will see many women choose to avoid swimming pools and bathrooms and other areas that are no longer women-only spaces. It's saddening to think about.

MrGHardy · 13/10/2018 00:12

For your Danish friend, Ignatius...

Is he trolling? It almost sounds like he is doing it to prove a point - "either I am fully treated like a woman or not, either the law works or there is something wrong with it" (paraphrasing).

He is either purposefully showing what the logical conclusions are, or he inadvertently is peak transing a lot of people.

jgrobinson · 13/10/2018 03:03

The Danish guy is trolling. He is a right-wing provocateur, if you google his name you'll find him associated with some kind of anti-immigrant art stunt IIRC.

You can tell he's trolling because when he's told he can't access the female changing room (despite being a woman legally), he accepts it calmly. Someone who really saw themself as a woman would be outraged ...

Iused2BanOptimist · 13/10/2018 05:19

I thought he was a comedian choosing to make a point.

Iused2BanOptimist · 13/10/2018 05:26

I assumed it was a variant of this one.

deepwatersolo · 13/10/2018 05:36

I commented ironically on the other thread about the verdict that apparently ‚clears the woman‘ (also according to the Twitter feed).
What does that verdict mean? That you are allowed to ask, if some man isn‘t even in drag? Does it mean, you now are allowed to ask, but if he is female via online application, tough luck and he can stay, even if he looks as manly as the Marlboro man? What does it mean?

MrGHardy · 13/10/2018 11:18

Thanks, yea I wasn't 100% sure, because you know how crazy some of these people get.

MrGHardy · 13/10/2018 11:21

lused2

"I mean like, I would be a little surprised, but yea, good for you".

This is next generation of adults who are being raised by this ideology. It's crazy.

MIdgebabe · 13/10/2018 11:43

Interesting thought inion regarding things like swimming pools

I suspect that if large numbers of women did stop going, the changing policies might be reconsidered, just because it’s cash to the pool that would be lost .
