www.telegraph.co.uk/women/life/dont-want-called-womxn-shouldnt-make-bigot/

I can't see that this has been referenced on another thread but apologies if so.

How quickly now the penny is starting to drop....

Thank you Judith.

Thanks for posting.

Is there a way to read the whole thing, I only get the start of the article.

PineappleSunrise · 12/10/2018 12:12

Good article, though I did snort at the nature of the swipe in the final sentence. Torygraph writers know their audience, after all. (I'm not a core part of their demographic, I suspect!)

FermatsTheorem · 12/10/2018 12:17

Yes, the Telegraph have had various hints of a GC viewpoint over the last few months, but this is the first full on GC article.

BiologyIsReal · 12/10/2018 12:27

Sorry Gulag: it's a premium article, which means subscription only. Unless it pops up on google at some point.

Pineapple: you would probably be a bit surprised at the D Tel. It is far more woman positive than the Guardian (not difficult). It covers women's sport far more extensively than any other paper and lobbies for equal rights there and it has been running a campaign for women in business.

It's somewhat disconcerting I agree when the Torygraph is more progressive than the Grauniad. Smile

Being somewhat cynical I suspect they need to replace their core aging market and are switching emphasis to attract younger readers.

Can't read the article, but the comments are a mix of GC-misogyny, and less GC ones.

Better that than letting any man be woman though. We can work on the rest after this most fundamental violation.
