Trans attack on Fund for refuges

Hi Women,

Just to let you know my ride for murdered women was subject to attack from trans activists yesterday afternoon.

They accused me of stealing the money to pay for Fair Play adverts which is a blatant untruth.

Wearside Women will confirm today that they have properly received fully transparent accounts for the donated money which transfers directly from Go Fund Me to them without ever touching my account. I do this for exactly this kind of reason!

The upside is - their nasty little tricks resulted in people donating £1000 altogether in a few hours. Thanks to anyone who did. ❤️

Every time I hear stories like this, I donate to the women's cause in question. I really like the idea of TRA own goals. Thanks Jean for publicising their vile tantrummy antics and I thank you for your strength, courage and humanity.

It just shows even more what they think of us: that we can't even fund raise enough to run one ad without nicking the money from somewhere else. Still, it makes a change from it being paid by right wing Christians in America, I suppose. Do they not believe we may actually have some money and we can make our own decisions about how, when and where to spend it? I think lots of us are sickened by the big charities that we used to support and have withdrawn our funding from them to direct to more local and smaller efforts. I will def be making a donation to Jean's crowdfunder today.

I've gone from reading that Fairplay for Women should be ashamed of themselves for not using their money on women's refuges, to now being told that the money has been stolen from women's refuges.

They simply cannot get their head around the solidarity required to raise a considerable amount of money from a fiver here and tenner there.

They've run out of options to counter it, so they just lie.

The transparency of the attack plumbs a new level of idiocy.

Let's remember: women control more than 80% of family expenditure.

I personally have stopped direct debits to: the Labour Party, Oxfam, and Amnesty. I've also stopped making one off donations to Children in Need, Comic Relief, Save the Children and more. All of those funds have been redirected to women's causes, particularly women affected by austerity cuts.

While these extremist anti-woman activists are so busy being ageist about the saggy-titted and becunted among us as well - perhaps they could remember that we are the women who have sent our children out into the word and paid off our mortgages. There are millions of us and we use our tenners and fivers wisely.
