Trans attack on Fund for refuges

Hi Women,

Just to let you know my ride for murdered women was subject to attack from trans activists yesterday afternoon.

They accused me of stealing the money to pay for Fair Play adverts which is a blatant untruth.

Wearside Women will confirm today that they have properly received fully transparent accounts for the donated money which transfers directly from Go Fund Me to them without ever touching my account. I do this for exactly this kind of reason!

The upside is - their nasty little tricks resulted in people donating £1000 altogether in a few hours. Thanks to anyone who did. ❤️

I used to follow you when I was still on Twitter, you were one of the first GC accounts I followed and you taught me a lot. But I primarily followed you because of the wonderful work you do for women and I’m sad that this happened to you. I’m very lucky my mother didn’t die at my fathers hands, it’s a miracle tbh. I was subjected to his wrath and the last violent episode where I fought back ended with me and my sister being kicked out of home at 16 & 17.

What you do is so important and so beautiful, it is heartbreaking there are people out there so twisted and cruel they wish to impede you. I will be donating today. Best wishes to you, and thank you 🙏🏻

The kind of person who is supported by the Greens, the Labour Party, the Lib Dems, Children in Need, Comic Relief, Stonewall, the BBC, the Guides, Ocado....

.... so y'know. Let's see it for what it is. A male supremacist movement is being supported by every establishment institution in this country and only ordinary women and a few ordinary men are standing against it.

Can you get some coverage of the attack on your local media?

You women - so very kind. Don't underestimate how much even a small donation helps a women's service. Wearside help a lot of women with no recourse to public funds so no govt funds to pay for their refuge spaces etc. An IDVA is also really invaluable in helping high risk women stay alive. They help the women most at risk of homicide.
