One of my many peaks was watching the BBC1 programme Trangender Kids who knows best: www.transgendertrend.com/transgender-kids-who-knows-best/
The person the story revolved around - Dr Zucker seemed really sensible. He was a world leading expert on gender dismorphia.
I think he stated 60-80% of the young patients at his clinic decided in the end they weren't trans. He encouraged the breaking down of gender stereotypes, lots of parental interaction etc. Most of the kids that didn't transition turned out to be gay. He supported the actual trans kids on the path to full transition.
Anyway he was sacked for his approach. Seems like the way that was all done was wrong. They've offered him an apology and compensation.
Should give him his job back too.
