Nike - Just Don't Do It

So Cristiano Ronaldo is accused of rape. Yet another footballer drunk on the vast adoration of males and the elevated position our society offers a man who can kick a ball. His team have of course said he is wonderful. He has of course suggested the woman is a gold-digger. So far so standard.

Nike have said they are deeply concerned ... but not enough to bump him from sponsorship while investigations take place.

My message to Nike is this ....

If you won't walk in the shoes of women then we won't walk in yours.

Ugh. I suppose we have to. Did he not admit it?

Jeanhatchet · 05/10/2018 08:17

No he fully denied it and implied she is in it for the money.

This is a thread on twitter from the journalist who wrote the story and the information posted in it should be the 1st point Nike should start their review of this situation.

I understood that in written documentation he conceded sex without consent

Charliethefeminist · 05/10/2018 09:43

Yes that's it, 'she said no and to stop several times'

YeTalkShiteHen · 05/10/2018 09:45

Charliethefeminist that’s what I thought too.

Not happy with Nike at all, he’s not god, he’s a man who admits having sex with a woman without consent. How is that not enough to drop him?

NanooCov · 05/10/2018 17:34

Thanks for that link @SturdyEarmuffs - have now read the full article too. Ronaldo really is a cunt.

Littlemouseroar · 05/10/2018 20:02

How is having sex with a woman who says no not rape?

YeTalkShiteHen · 05/10/2018 20:04

It isn’t.
