Another BBC complaint - 'gender related violence'

Evening all. I've just made a complaint to the BBC regarding their online article that covered the jailing of the assailant of Marie Laguerre.

www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-45749892

The article says:
"The man, identified only as Firaz M under French court rules, was sentenced to a further six months suspended sentence.

He was also ordered to undergo psychological care and take a course about gender-related violence."

I looked at a french article and, sure enough, they mentioned he had to take a course about violence against WOMEN. The BBC constantly conflate gender with sex which is infuriating, but to write 'gender' in an article that is about male on female violence, rooted in misogyny, is particularly galling. Grrrrrrrrr....

It took them 2 weeks to get back to me about a similar complaint and they fobbed me off. I'll be interested to see how they respond to you.
