..that it shouldn't be such breaking news, and that it's ridiculous that's she's the 1st female presenter of that show.

I think it just goes to show how far women still have to go to be considered equal.

If this was normal, it wouldn't be such a big deal, and bloody hell.... it's 2018, surely it should be normal by now?

Chris Evans has flounced off in a strop because he didn't like people knowing a) how much he earned from the BBC and b) how much of a discrepancy there was between him and other employees who worked similar hours and attracted similar audiences (for example Ken Bruce).

I think Zoe is quite right to not expect the same salary. CE was obscenely overpaid and unpopular for it.

Now if they could just address the fucking absurdity of paying Jeremy Vine £750,000 pa I'll be happy.

Completely agree op. It’s 2018. It’s unbelievable that she’s the first woman to present it. We’ve got so far to go in so many areas 😞

We still have a lot of fighting to do really, it's never easy. Any woman who get a senior / high profile job has men thinking oh it's because she's a woman.

Which is ludicrous of them, because there are plenty of men in the world who only got their jobs because they're men, and plenty of employers where a mediocre man will still do better than an excellent woman.

I absolutely adore Liza Tarbuck and Coxy but Zoe is the right choice for the slot.
