For those on twitter follow the above hashtag plus #wpuk and #couragecalls & have a good look at the photos!

Absolutely brilliant & bound to make you smile. Totally bombed the official pics and the speech in the civic hall!

Was watching today.

Such brave women.

WarmWishes · 01/10/2018 18:50

Brave indeed.

Do you know how they were treated? I can't imagine what it was like for the councillor to read the speech inside the hall during the silent protest whilst their arms were raised! Must have been a physical challenge too.

Brilliant feminists!

So wonderful. Proud to have met a few of them on Saturday. #couragecalls

LikeDustWeRise · 01/10/2018 19:07

Great protest.

Its unbelievable hypocrisy that they staged this shallow 100 years of women's suffrage pantomime when they clearly think women shouldn't have a role in public life.

Floisme · 01/10/2018 19:11

That's so good. Bloody well done and thank you. Was Jess Itsourroom anywhere to be seen?

boatyardblues · 01/10/2018 19:12

Is there a non-Twitter link? I’m just getting a white screen with the bird link.

gendercritter · 01/10/2018 19:14

Well done them!

boatyardblues · 01/10/2018 19:16

Hmm. Twitter lurking works just fine in private browsing.

LangCleg · 01/10/2018 19:18

Fabulous, fabulous women. I salute them.

Artesia · 01/10/2018 19:41

Am not on Twitter - any chance you could post the pics here as would love to see them? Am amazed by the brilliant response of so many women (and men) to LCC’s pathetic actions

pennydrew · 01/10/2018 19:48

You can still search hashtags on twitter without being signed up

mobile.twitter.com/hashtag/couragecalls?src=hash

BesmirchingMotherhood · 01/10/2018 19:54

Omg, tears in eyes. 💜💚❌

Budgieinaberet · 01/10/2018 19:59

That's made me feel a bit weepy too. Well done, women!

Artesia · 01/10/2018 20:01

Amazing- thank you and well done to all involved. Courage indeed and makes me proud to be an adult human female

Angryresister · 01/10/2018 20:03

To be...but the robes were good too!

FermatsTheorem · 01/10/2018 22:31

You stars, all of you!

PurdysChocolate · 01/10/2018 23:26

Amazing.

stealthsquirrelnutkin · 02/10/2018 01:03

How glorious. I am full of admiration for all the women involved. Thank you so much for protesting the underhand and cowardly council and their female silencing skulduggery.

SugarButterFlour · 02/10/2018 05:55

Another one with tears in my eyes. Well done!

pachyderm · 02/10/2018 07:07
