Posie Parker Doxed Over Night

OVAgroundWOMBlingfree · 01/10/2018 06:31

Last night some lunatic on Twitter doxed Posie Parker, exposing photos of her family, her children, her home address and lots more personal information.

Thankfully quick reporting from Twitter users got it taken down

Let’s hope the police are onto this.

"Last night an account posted the details of Posie Parker’s address, pictures and videos of her children, her husband, details of her house. If you object to men who say they are women - those men will metaphorically drag you into the street to be killed ... now why is that?

Why so desperate to harm women who challenge them? No radical feminist woman has harmed a trans woman. Not one. All women have done is say “No”. And for that women and their children must be placed in danger. There is a reason to be afraid when men don’t want women to say “No”.

And if you were all “Posie Parker is not a feminist” etc etc etc .... stop it now. When a woman’s life is at risk because she stood up for women ... help her. @ WomansPlaceUK perhaps now is the time to remove that statement. Deeds not words."

Thanks @R0wantrees - wish I'd spotted that thread first! It's taken me bloody ages but I skipped some of the questions and focussed on where I feel strongest - Q1, the free comments at the end and some in between where I had opportunity to talk about preserving female safe spaces.

AngryAttackKittens · 01/10/2018 13:07

Here's the thing - this is a women's issue, and that includes all women, even the ones who don't call themselves feminists, even the ones we had a falling out with, even the ones who we vehemently disagree with on other issues. Dilute the definition of "woman" in law and weaken safeguarding and we all suffer. So why is anyone even quibbling over whether or not Posie calls herself a feminist?

This is too important to be treated as a partisan issue. United we stand, divided we fall, etc.

THis was thepoint that Posie Parker made too when interviewed by Matthew Wright on LBC. She is speaking as a woman.

placemats · 01/10/2018 13:21

Of course it's a woman's issue.

It certainly isn't a male issue.

IStandWithPosie · 01/10/2018 13:24

She is a pain in the arse

What a horrific crime! Hmm Seriously, this is why her children deserve to have their pictures and address published on the internet? Really? Do you honestly believe being a pain in the arse deserves such action?

placemats · 01/10/2018 13:27

JeanHatchet

If you object to men who say they are women - those men will metaphorically drag you into the street to be killed ... now why is that?

Killed, silenced and doxxed.

Men are men. Women are women. One of those can shout, scream, drink as much as they like, wear what they like, play around, have twenty children and it will never, ever impact on their career.

hackmum · 01/10/2018 13:29

There's no point in trying to appeal to zeboo's better judgement. People like that have no moral compass whatsoever. Many TRAs, as we've seen from the behaviour of people like Aimee Challenor and Adrian Harrop, are deeply nasty individuals without any of the normal feelings of empathy and kindness that most people have.

arranfan · 01/10/2018 13:29

I wonder if this incident will lead to any reflective practice by the producers and figureheads of This Morning as to the way that they framed a member of the public, Posie Parker, as a "legitimate target" if anybody remembers that awful phrase.

The social media rhetoric about her, the way that they demonised her for her views and made it all about the personal rather than the political - This Morning and The Metro are complicit in this.

howonearthdidwegethere · 01/10/2018 13:35

WPUK have put out a statement supporting Posie. Good.

It's time to stand four square behind any woman who is treated like this.

Please don't forget about the EHRC Call For Evidence too!

Recent addition of Sporting consultation (October 5th):

"There is an open consultation taking place on the existing Gender Recognition Act 2004. Government is looking to reform the legal recognition process, some of which is simplified here. As the majority of sports are gender specific or engage in gender separation, Sport England and the Alliance are encouraging you to submit your thoughts, experience and/ or current policies on transgender participation in sport. If you would like to refer to the original consultation please see here. Please submit your feedback to us by Friday 5th October.

We have outlined the following areas for you to provide comment on, which will feed into our joint response to Government"

This Morning and The Metro are complicit in this.

Agree. They need to address this.

LeftRightCentre · 01/10/2018 13:43

Appalling! Men are afraid women will laugh at them. Women are afraid men will kill them. And these so-called activists have proven this.

HannahnotAgnes · 01/10/2018 13:55

Very true LeftRight sadly.

I stand with Posie.

hackmum · 01/10/2018 13:58

Too true. Unfortunately so many people laughed at Harrop after his execrable performance on Sky News that it has driven him to even more extreme levels of rage. And Posie must pay the price.

The social media rhetoric about her, the way that they demonised her for her views and made it all about the personal rather than the political - This Morning and The Metro are complicit in this.

The trans activists have nothing better to do than go for the personal. The cannot even put together a stable argument for what they want in the political sense. Their arguments change and the goal posts are continually moving. They have never said what rights trans people do not have that other people have. They always got back to the 'be nice' bollox.

This is why they are reduced to personal attack, sob stories
and virtue signalling. #nodebate.

And when these don't work, then they blow up and get nasty.

Melamin · 01/10/2018 14:07

And yes, This Morning are complicit. They could have looked at the facts and explored the politics and even mentioned the GRA consultation.

But no, they jumped in on the personal.

TheCraicDealer · 01/10/2018 14:13

@QuilliamCakespeare same. I got to the point about the armed forces and lost it. DH has already had a guy in his company say he's non-binary so they could claim to be a woman on their PFA which they'd failed several times previously. Passed it, as a woman, because they get more time than a man of the same age. They were ragin but they couldn't do anything about it. Just another example of how the system is open to abuse.

DontCisgenderMe · 01/10/2018 14:28

Fucking Hell, that's appalling.

The people who want men to have access to women and children when they are getting undressed just can't help demonstrating that they actively want to put women and children in danger, can they?

Posie, thank you so much for speaking out. I'm heading straight to www.standingforwomen.com/shop

QuilliamCakespeare · 01/10/2018 15:29

@TheCraicDealer That's exactly where I lost the will to live too. I had a rant about non-binary being bollocks though. I'm wearing trousers today. I must have having a non-binary day!

Bolloxio · 01/10/2018 15:57

Fucking disgusting.

Floisme · 01/10/2018 16:10

I'm very disappointed to see zeeboo's comment has been deleted. I wonder who reported it?

Datun · 01/10/2018 16:17

I didn't see the comment, but I have no trouble imagining the seething, frothing rage that was behind it.
