Last night some lunatic on Twitter doxed Posie Parker, exposing photos of her family, her children, her home address and lots more personal information.

Thankfully quick reporting from Twitter users got it taken down

Let’s hope the police are onto this.

It's more than bullying. It's terrorism. It's using fear to force someone to capitulate to your view of how the world should be. Cowardly, inadequate, pathetic terrorists.

I reported the doxxing account and I've heard back from Twitter that it does violate their terms, but it's still there!

If it is someone claiming to be a feminist it's even worse. You have to be pretty shitty to see all the threats women currently face, and rather than fight against those, instead devote your time to attacking other women. There are lots of people in this I disagree with about all sorts of other issues, but needs must etc.

She has come out with an attack piece on Amy Desir today. Featuring the telltale lines "she personally called the police to one disabled woman's home"

Please do steer well clear. She has MULTIPLE Facebook accounts in different names, on different continents, possibly even different genders. Tells for her socks include:

outright transphobia (not just joking about a specific individual, generalised transphobia)
violent rhetoric about men/transpeople
references to the brilliance of H's work (if this ever happens, best block immediately, as it's likely her)
a love of cats
weird references to things being top-secret and safe with her

Also her socks tend not to have personally identifying information/photos beyond perhaps a stolen profile photo.

If it's who it seems to be, it's a mentally unwell person who's a feminist. She's irrational and vindictive.

To add, this person may or may not also be a persistent PBP who has created multiple MN accounts.

The latest post has been reported to the police, who must be sick and tired of this individual by now.

Returning to Dr Dismal, isn't it blackmail - a criminal offence -
to threaten to reveal things about someone unless they do something you want ?

Is there a feminist legal beagle who could say if there is an offence that should be reported ?

I can imagine! A friend received the same email a few weeks - I'd be astonished if she'd done anything of the kind, but she was very concerned, and really upset to be accused of something like that.
