Posie Parker Doxed Over Night

OVAgroundWOMBlingfree · 01/10/2018 06:31

Last night some lunatic on Twitter doxed Posie Parker, exposing photos of her family, her children, her home address and lots more personal information.

Thankfully quick reporting from Twitter users got it taken down

Let’s hope the police are onto this.

If so could that be a tactic being used to get posters deleted and banned?
As in, write goady comment, other people quote it, report your own goady comment and quoters get deleted too. Hope that makes sense.

I’m pretty sure MNHQ have confirmed in the past that having a post deleted for quoting a deleted post would not count as a strike.

BigChocFrenzy · 01/10/2018 21:40

We've long realised that TRAs hate women
Now we see they regard children as insignificant collateral damage

moimichme · 01/10/2018 22:33

This is so awful. Please tell me the police are taking it seriously, for once.

Flowers Posie you brave, amazing woman

Ineedacupofteadesperately · 02/10/2018 08:31

I was one of the ones who quoted zeeboo's post, in the hopes that even if the original got deleted, my post would stay.. Sorry to see it's deleted. Hope that doesn't count as a strike.....Confused

arranfan · 02/10/2018 08:33

No, it doesn't count as a strike for you just because you quoted it.

Don't know if this has already been shared, but PinkNews covered the story?

Trans campaigners condemn personal info leak of woman behind anti-trans billboard
....
Harrop said he was “saddened and shocked” to hear about the sharing of Parker’s personal information on social media.

“I would like to take this opportunity to condemn these acts in the strongest possible terms,” he told PinkNews.

“There is no reason for anyone, under any circumstances whatsoever, to attempt to place any individual or any individual’s family in danger or to compromise their right to privacy, especially when this involves children.

“This is an abhorrent thing to do, and I would never advocate for any person involved in any sort of activism to use such tactics.”

They also get a statement from Susie Green:

“There is no reason for anyone, under any circumstances whatsoever, to attempt to place any individual or any individual’s family in danger or to compromise their right to privacy, especially when this involves children.

“This is an abhorrent thing to do, and I would never advocate for any person involved in any sort of activism to use such tactics.”

Hmm
BernardBlacksWineIcelolly · 02/10/2018 10:42

what Adrian 'doxxed a mumsnetter' Harrop was saddened and shocked to hear about Posie's doxxing?

that's a bit of a turn around isn't it?

PositivelyPERF · 02/10/2018 10:44

heresyandwitchcraft. That’s the kind of bullshit that our politicians here, in NI, used to come out with when someone was murdered, while refusing to acknowledge that they had a hand in encouraging the hatred. It’s all such disingenuous bulk, isn’t it.

FloralBunting · 02/10/2018 10:45

Oh how interesting. Makes the 'condemnation' sound so sincere to have a set form that all AWAs use, rather than their actual own words, eh?

Almost like the dodgy gits know exactly how bad this looks and gave circulated some damage limitation...

BernardBlacksWineIcelolly · 02/10/2018 10:47

also, why the fuck are even a rag like PN going to Harrop for comments? he's literally a no-one

it's like the guardian asking me for my thoughts on brexit

R0wantrees · 02/10/2018 10:51

Susie Green has spoken openly, in depth and frequently about her child, Jackie's experience as a child both in newspapers, TedTalks, TV etc
'Transgender: a mother’s story' December 2017

Jackie Green has also featured in a TV program and subsequent media talking about her childhood in 'Transsexual Teen, Beauty Queen' November 2012

Pink News have consistantly provided a voice for trans rights activists.

heresyandwitchcraft · 02/10/2018 11:01

Quite.

Especially given the very tenuous potential link noted upthread to the organization Dr H is part of being associated with the doxxer of Posie's information. Let's remember that Adrian, as I interpret it, appeared to hold a woman to ransom unless she deleted her account, despite her pleading for him not to broadcast her details because it would expose her to violence like we saw at Speaker's Corner.

What's interesting is that PinkNews got the two main "antagonists" in the Posie story - Adrian Harrop (that got the poster taken down) and Susie Green (who reported her to the police) to provide comment....

It's all just coincidence? IMO, the whole doxxing followed by this "we condemn" story feels very........ well, I will politely say: odd.

Danaquestionseverything · 02/10/2018 11:20

Turph

That just sounds homophobic

Gosh. It was absolutely not my intention. Just a sleep deprived, off the cuff remark in reference to Harrop previously tweeting about cocaine, gun oil and similar. Flowers for anybody that took offence. I've got LGBT friends and family. If anything I'm frightened that when the backlash for this madness comes (which it will) the LGBT community will suffer blame.

Apologies for my badly worded post. Probably best I go back to lurking.

Indeed

PP has commented that after the CPS declined to charge, Susie Green then challenged this decision and as a consequence, Posie Parker is still "being watched" and her case is kept open

Prawnofthepatriarchy · 02/10/2018 11:31

Danaquestionseverything, please don't be put off. Seems to me *Terph" read something that wasn't there in what you said.

Saying someone uses poppers isn't homophobic at all. DH and I loved using poppers. It's not an exclusively gay thing by any means. Lots of people use them. Harrop has indeed referred to various substances on Twitter.

littlbrowndog · 02/10/2018 11:34

Yeps I saw the tweets that the harrop was sending to a women

He said he knew her job and her name and unless she took down her tweets he would use them

R0wantrees · 02/10/2018 11:35

He said he knew her job and her name and unless she took down her tweets he would use them

She was also a HCP
& a MN poster on FWR

R0wantrees · 02/10/2018 11:36

& a MN poster on FWR

From memory, I think Harrop made mention of her MN profile too.

littlbrowndog · 02/10/2018 11:41

Who was the woman he told to go away and reflect on her actions and that he hoped she had learnt her lesson
What a piece of work

JillyArmeeen · 02/10/2018 11:44

Yes the mn user name was the same as the twitter handle. She had shared a Spotify playlist on twitter if I remember correctly. And from there the good doctor could dig for more personal info.
Then held her to ransom if she didn't delete her twitter account.
Nice guy.
I remember the posters name but she might not want it sharing?

littlbrowndog · 02/10/2018 11:51

Yeah but she is still about. Up to her I think

nicenewdusters · 02/10/2018 12:01

Dana don't go back to lurking, stay. I didn't read your comments like that at all.

ToeToToe · 02/10/2018 12:05

Dana - stay and talk Thanks

I read your post as feeling exuberant that the scales had fallen from your eyes, and you've seen through all this nonsense.

It is liberating.

heresyandwitchcraft · 02/10/2018 12:06

Facepalm

Accidentally pasted Harrop's statement twice. My apologies!

This is what Susie Green had to say:

Susie Green, CEO of Mermaids, a charity that supports gender-diverse and transgender children, told PinkNews: “There is never any justification for revealing personal details of anyone online. I have seen it happen and the motivation is always malicious.

“Even if you do not agree with someone’s ideals and actions, that is no excuse.”
