The venue has cancelled the Woman's Place UK booking, but many women will still be meeting to make sure women's voices are heard.

Do come and join them if you can at Leeds Civic Hall. Show your support on social media too.

I’m the other end of the country but I’m with you in spirit.

The cancellation is disgraceful. I expect the council gave heed to men. Silencing women in 2018.
We are really going to have to protest in some way about the general misogyny of the establishment.

I'm across the water but standing with you in solidarity!

Bump! I'm at the Manchester meeting, but if I wasn't I'd be hot-footing it to Leeds to join your protest

I can't be there, but with you in spirit. We are supposed to live in a democracy, where open debate is allowed.
But not for women it seems.

SeraphinaDombegh · 28/09/2018 18:52

Solidarity. This about more than just women's rights now. It's about basic freedom of speech and assembly. Good luck.

OpalIridescence · 28/09/2018 18:57

So glad you have stayed and protested. I wish I could be there.

Surely, surely now we need to march? We need to get visible and loud.

So much solidarity to you all
