Huh?

beenandgoneandbackagain · 26/09/2018 14:37

To save googling - it's the colours of the Suffragettes and Linda Bellos wore them this morning.

Someone in the court said that she should not wear them. There are no prizes for guessing who.

FloralBunting · 26/09/2018 14:39

Anti-Woman Activists aren't even subtle, are they?

NonaGrey · 26/09/2018 14:43

I understand that they are the Suffragette ribbon colours. After all we’re celebrating the centenary this year.

I’m really confused as to how achieving voting rights for women could possibly be offensive?

Genuinely mystified.

lilllil · 26/09/2018 14:46

Oh no, a flag. How ... offensive?

ShotsFired · 26/09/2018 14:50

This is the hugely offensive item in question (yes, that tiny little pocket hanky sticking out of Linda's jacket).

I mean, you can feel his pain, right?

Its about celebrating our right to have a voice, which is clearly unacceptable...🙊

BlardyBlar · 26/09/2018 14:58

Linda is wonderful.

The anti-woman activism is becoming clearer with every day that passes.

AspieAndProud · 26/09/2018 15:18

It made me want an ice lolly.

We should produce special edition Zooms in those colours as part of the campaign.

Lottapianos · 26/09/2018 15:23

Bloody good for Linda. Dear god, the other lot are pathetic

Bowlofbabelfish · 26/09/2018 15:24

When someone says the suffragette colours are offensive to them, you know exactly what they are don’t you?

Anti woman.

Linda is a strong woman, an amazing woman. I am so angry she is being put through this. So, so angry.

Suffragette colours - offensive. Let the implications of that sink in.

RedToothBrush · 26/09/2018 15:25

If transwomen are women then they would support the display of a women's suffrage symbol in solidarity. Or even if they were men who identified as women. Wouldn't they?

Unless of course, they weren't women, and their 'loyalty is to the trans flag first' and they see any display along the lines of historical advancement of women's rights as a personal affront to them.

Ah. Yes.

"Progressive".

I've put a Suffragette ribbon over my FB profile pic, and changed my cover image to the Woman/Adult Human Female billboard.

Beerincomechampagnetastes · 26/09/2018 15:34

I hope Linda continues to get the support she deserves. Star

CuriousaboutSamphire · 26/09/2018 15:35

Ooh! If I weren't self employed I would join you in a heart beat, my facebook page is looking a little drab!

Is there a running commentary on the case anywhere?

pearlkent · 26/09/2018 15:36

They're not very consistent with what they get offended by are they? Weren't some of them (Munroe B and Caityln Jenner IIRC) featured on some celebration of 100 years since women got the vote (Vogue I think)?

RedToothBrush · 26/09/2018 15:38

They get offended by anything that a women does. Its fine when its being appropriated.

Why is that? Its almost as if women can't have women things.

JillyArmeeen · 26/09/2018 16:06

I've been inspired to crochet myself a lovely suffrage scarf.

doctorbarbie · 26/09/2018 16:28

I'm also considering making myself a scarf. First task: teach myself how to knit.

CrackpotsArePots · 26/09/2018 16:34

O God they are more childish than a 10 year old

Going to get me a suffragette badge

CuriousaboutSamphire · 26/09/2018 16:34

My thanks Smile
