I wonder if the good doctor will be making very public and vocal complaints about this. Am guessing not, because it would involve challenging (gay) men, rather than shouting at women.

The club it seems is gay men only and specifically caters to the Bear community which is a masculine presenting thing.

I think banning women is fine I can't think of a legitimate reason they need access to this club. I'm less sure on the clothing aspect but plenty of clubs have dress codes - no trainers etc...

I think it boils down to people being allowed to have certain spaces, not everywhere has to be a one size fits all approach.

Indeed. Bears tend to be burly bearded fellows and tend to wear items from the "barely there studded leather" section. Or nowt. It's quite a looks based scene.

Not sure why a beardy drag queen is now holding a protest, when the man turned away doesn’t seem to care and the club owner has suggested they could host a less-restrictive dress coded night, on a day other than ‘Bear Saturday’.

And yes, that is a very clean kitchen.

I fink usually they set up as members clubs rather than normal nightclubs to be better able to admit only blokes.

The night is for bears. Very masculine-presenting gay men. So the dress code excludes feminine attire. Why is this news or worthy of protest?!
