Consultation closes November 7. No need to give name or email address.

It's about sex and relationships education and there is lots of opportunity to explain why it's important for children to be taught that you can't change sex, that sex is different to gender, that boundaries and privacy education should be strengthened, that kids should be warned about online lies that it's possible to change sex. Do fill it in as Stonewall will blam it - especially as it's too easy for one person yo submit multiple times.

Done. I included comments stating that pupils should be taught the difference between biological sex and gender / sex role stereotypes, to think critically about sex role stereotypes, and that it's okay to be gender non-conforming.

I also said I thought there should be some kind of review / approval process for the training and materials used by third party organisations in schools to make sure they aren't including unproven, unscientific misinformation or promoting sexism and homophobia, e.g the pink brain / blue brain theory or the erasure of same sex attracted people.

On an unrelated note, I also stated that I thought breastfeeding and its benefits and the importance of having regular eye tests should be covered as I didn't notice those anywhere! :)
