That's it really. Thanks to you lovely lot I had the confidence and the knowledge to fill in the Government Consultation (took 3 days as I kept getting angry and having to give it a break).
I told my mum about it too, she didn't know about it. Have sent her the link for Fair Play for Women as well. Now I have to tell my DB and my SIL.
My DP wants to fill it in as well. Last month he was 'It'll never happen'. Then he went through disbelief. At the moment he's in the sweary stage. So he's better leave it a couple of days. Don't think it would be a good idea to fill in a Gov consultation with 'cos it's bloody stupid', 'You're a bunch of numptys' and 'It's fucking stupid' and 'Thick bastards'. They wouldn't take any notice of that lol.

So thank you again. I've been lurking on here on for ages and very occasionally posting (cos you're all too clever!)

Next stage - writing to my MP. My mum's met him and says he's very nice, so high hopes!

I’ve had zero luck with my MP Paul Farrelly, I may try Ruth Smeeth next, she’s the next town over. DH met her at the weekend at a forces charity thing and said she’s very down to earth and nice.

I’ve had a rummage on her twitter and there is nothing, no GC stuff and no TWAW stuff either.

Note to self - find out when my MP's next surgery is (as well as an e-mail). Scary stuff. But there is no way I want my DD to grow up in a world where women are second class citizens.

Sorry you had no luck with your MP Gender There's reasons I think my MP will listen - but obvs I can't put them on an open forum.

My MP was on an AWS. Has a very safe seat. But she's drunk the Kool aid. I must do the consultation
