Of course they are. Outside of a tiny group of frankly disturbed individuals nobody has ever believed this nonsense, they just thought that they ought to pretend to do so to be kind. With my dad and stepmum it was reading about the Scottish guidelines for schools that pushed them over the edge. It's all fun and games until you realize that children are being brainwashed. At that point patience tends to wear thin.

Seriously, kids are the line in the sand for most people. Cross that line and they'll push back. So now you add the GG nonsense and people have had enough even if they don't give a shit about feminism.

(I've found that a lot of men are also outraged by the blatant unfairness of transwomen in women's sports, especially sports like MMA where women are literally being beaten up.)

I find it interesting actually, that DS is allowing conversation about this. There was a stage where anything that was even slightly negative about anything to do with the trans umbrella was deleted, and posters banned. It seems they have loosened up on that somewhat.

DS has quite a few users of the sappy middle-aged AGP variety. Didn't we get one over here a while ago with some 1000-paragraph long monologue on why he is a woman, actually, and why we should all stop being so mean seeing as he'd taken the brave step of coming over to tell us to shut up?

I think it's still pretty much like that tbh. I know that a poster was banned and had her sensible posts about how women are discriminated against because of our biology on that student editor thread deleted.

Meanwhile sexist and condescending posts from that idiotic transwoman are allowed to stand.

I have also found that people are indifferent. They are "what's the harm, I don't care if there is penis in my shower". Although the majority from my anecdotal evidence for sure is shocked.

DS as a website is about as woke as they come tbh. It's a bit like Penis News but with a specific entertainment focus. There are some very switched on individual posters, but there are also a shit ton of out and out MRAs and wokesters.

That DS thread is fascinating reading if you want to see the TRA argument techniques in play.

One claims that tweeting "women don't have penises" is part of hate against trans people.
Another claims the "comments broke the law"
When challenged names some random bits of the Equality Act (on Direct Discrimination) with "Again really not a difficult thing to work out"
When challenged further "Dont discriminate against trans people. Be a decent human being."
Another goes on about this being clearly anti-lgbt and direct discrimination
The other one says "You may want to read up more on the Equalities Act 2010" and says how tiring it is to keep having to cover the same old ground

And that's just page 1

A common attribute of all the twitter bullshitters out there - the homeopaths, chiropractors, flat earthers and gender peddlers - is that they will wriggle like hell not to be pinned down on central definitions.

Well, bear in mind that everyone on FWR is a member of a far-right hate group that Sue Paxton has reported to the Anti-Terrorism unit of the Police. (All verifiable claims that have been made but not verifiable facts, IYSWIM.) So, doubtless, Venice Allen is doing well just to be right-wing.
