Sorry this may be old news to those of you who have been fighting this battle for a long time.

The actor James Dreyfus has tweeted a picture of himself in one of the Standing for Women t-shirts. After a day of abuse on Twitter (against which he has very ably defended himself), he posted this:

"Where do these militant kids get off attacking people who are a part of the LGBT community and have supported them before these nut jobs were even born? They’ve got a bloody nerve."

He gets it :)

What an utterly magnificent example of a man. I am quite happy to see clever, funny men who have our back publicly.

Come on JK. As pleased as I am to see a handful of men not being arseholes, I would be ecstatic if you got off the fence.

And just look at the different response he gets - few mild batterings, but nothing like what women experience. Misogyny is proven yet again.

They're disappointed in him. He's let the side down. They hoped for better.

The naked, visceral hate that women get for this kind of public disobedience is of quite a different order.

I know. But for me it does the heart good to see them dismissed like the whining controlling batshit idiots they are by someone who gives no fucks. And women, even the likes of JK Rowling, are rarely able to do that, for the reasons you mention. It also shows up their total misogyny. It's a pretty stark difference.

I love men who stand for women. All two of them! I don't know whether to laugh or smile or cry.

Oh wait....forgot Robert Webb so that makes three great men. Three.
