Meeting my MP

I know there have been threads about this before, and I've watched posieparker's video about talking to your MP, but I'm wondering about the best way to take along resources/information to back up what I'm talking about. I've been looking at the resource thread about transwomen in prison but I can't show her a mumsnet thread on my phone can I?

I also need to decide what points to focus on. I think I'll talk about prisons as it's just been in the news. I'll definitely ask 'are transwomen women?' and 'what is a woman?'. I'd like to talk about schools/young people as well as I have youngish kids but not sure how to approach that.
She's a labour MP so I could also talk about AWS.

Any advice welcome!

I printed off the SAGES leaflet and highlighted the bits I wanted to talk about. It helped as a crib sheet.

Emphasise things which are relevant to your life. That doesn't mean don't talk about other stuff - but if you can say how it impacts you and your family (or how you fear it might in the future) I think it will have more weight.

Thanks, that SAGES factsheet is useful

Well I met her yesterday. It was good! She’d already thought about it a fair bit but I raised some things which were new to her (eg girl guides policy). She shared my concerns and agrees it’s very important to maintain single sex spaces for women. She said she’d vote against any bill that didn’t protect women’s rights.
I was nervous but it wasn’t too scary!
