Apologies for the clunky title

www.unlock.org.uk/call-for-evidence-dbs-checks-transgender/

Surely all 'gender specific' offences of of a sexual nature???

The TRAs seem to miss the fact that it's not just about appearance either but body language and behaviour. I've never seen a TRA where their body language and behaviour didn't scream MALE

Many of them don't miss it at all. They love the control and power it gives them to force people to deny the evidence of their own eyes. The GRA with its criminal penalties for disclosure of their sex by certain workers hands them even more power to hold over people.

If some women have penises then even a rape conviction doesn't 'out' someone.

I hope they get lots of responses and write a big detailed report and plug it everywhere and that everybody reads it and really pays attention.

This is Claire McCann, the barrister who gave expert legal advice to the trans equality inquiry and who was invited by WEP to soothe women's concerns over the GRA reform at their recent conference.

Did anybody ever start the post-it notes and string thing (or the software equivalent) to map all these connections?

There can't be many more wheels left to fall off.

all they need to do is remove the "importuning as a man" from the list or change it to importuning

This is the fair solution. Old laws had separate offences for men and women, like the example above. It would be unfair to give special treatment to one set of men, on the basis of their need to eradicate an anomaly, but no-one else.

YY.

Let's take a guess if they will push for that?
