I went to see my (male) constituency MP the other day.

He's surprisingly gender critical! I didn't have to explain the issues to him, he gets it.

He says he speaks up for women's rights in Parliament, on this issue. But it makes it tough when he's a man speaking up for women's rights and then female MPs - often from his own party even - disagree.

He said it seemed to him many of them are poorly informed and have been got at by the trans lobby.

The women in Parliament really should know what's going on here.

So, do you have a female MP? Have you been to see them yet? If not, how about emailing them this week and asking for an appointment?

So, I got a response giving me this quote from a government minister regarding the issue of putting male bodied people in a prison with women.

"I am fully aware, and I recognise that I have a significant responsibility for the majority of the women in those prisons, so that they are safe and secure. This is a difficult issue to manage, but I am persuaded that robust guidelines are in place, so that nothing untoward would happen."

So, despite plenty of 'untoward' things happening, the government is persuaded that the guidelines are robust enough. It's like even when the things that never happen, happen, they don't happen.

Me and a couple of others were maintaining a strictly confidential record of which MPs had been written to and what response we had had. To be honest, I’ve had a lot of personal shit going on and haven’t had the time, however I will have stopped working soon and can pick it up again. In fact I think it’s hugely important so I will commit to that. I will start a new thread - we did have some pretty good templates but these will now be out of date so I might need a bit of time to get those whipped into shape. I will ask on the other place for help as well but in short, if you would like to share your MPs response I will add to the spreadsheet. Yes I’ve emailed my female MP and met with her. I’m completely wrong and she believes people can change sex
