That is a long title, apologies!

I am a secret terf working in the NHS. This is my accrediting body (British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapists). I came across this article and sighed internally. And then thought Ffs at them merrily using TERF and not understanding the POINT of Get The L Out.

I am new to Mumsnet, I am not a mum, but you lot seem very very sensible.

If it was from a few years ago then that is not since GRA consultation began. There have been a number of assertions that the public consultation has triggered an increase in crime and I haven't seen any specific reports on this

I've seen somewhere the suggestion it would be better to treat kids with their own sex hormones to get them to better accept the sex they actually are. Do you think this would be a way forward in your opinion?

I have absolutely no idea to be honest! I work in a depression/anxiety mental health service so I have had no training on anything at all related to transgender stuff. I am a fan of "let's work out what we can do via evidence based therapy and medication (sorted by a gp if actually even needed) " in the first instance.
