Bloody hell its wordy! I'm having difficulties voicing my opinion on the Sport section - already we are seeing trans women in women's events even without the changes. I want to be able to word it a bit better! Help?

Presumably you've seen the guidance from FPFW? fairplayforwomen.com/full_guide/

I filled it in before I found it which is a shame as I'm not sure I did a great job!

More info here from FPFW
fairplayforwomen.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/FPFW-printable-guide-1.pdf

Also you could look for threads on here about transwomen in women's sports - search for Laurel Hubbard, Hannah Mouncey, Andraya Yearwood for example.

Thanks.

But organisations running events are allowing trans women to compete in women's sports even BRFORE the changes are made! Want to express that without ranting Blush

Regarding the GRA, this makes my heart sink (from the easy read fact sheet)

5. Making Things Easier

The consultation is only about how to make the process of legally changing your gender easier.

(With no consideration of the negative impacts of making legal gender changes easier. And they confuse gender and sex in the fact sheet too)

PeriwinkleBlues · 16/09/2018 11:46

For several of the questions (although I can't remember exactly which one now - definitely when discussing prisons), I cited cases to evidence my objection.

I felt the consultation was a little disingenuous as they were at pains to highlight that the EA allows for exemptions where inclusion may cause harm but the point is that it's already happening. I highlighted cases where this had happened and pointed out that they contravened these exemptions.

It is very hard to fill in without saying that you disagree with their initial premise. It's a loaded dice but it's the best we've got at the moment.

The GRA should be repealed. Bad law in the first place - unnecessary now -- same sex marriage is legal
