Hi all,

I occasionally get mentioned on Mumsnet as I've written things in the past that you've been interested in (the gender debate, pornography, which can be found here medium.com/@tom_farr ). I'm posting about something you may be interested in.

CEASE UK (Centre to End All Sexual Exploitation) is a new organisation focusing on tackling sexual exploitation within the UK, and we're launching with our first annual conference on Wednesday 14th November at Central Hall Westminster, London. We have an amazing speaker line up, including Julie Bindel, Fiona Broadfoot, Sarah Champion MP, Anna Fisher of Nordic Model Now, NotBuyingIt!, Kate Roberts of Human Trafficking Foundation plus many more to be announced.

Topics covered will include the global sex trade and its extensiveness, front line services for at-risk and exiting women, obstacles faced when battling human trafficking and the links between pornography and exploitation (which I will be speaking on) plus many others.

your article on medium was one of the first I read about self ID and it really helped me understand the impact of it and clarify why I felt so weird about about it.

Couldn't see times listed on CEASE site about this (as linked by Tom) but Eventbrite says 09:00-17:30 but I don't know if that's their default assumption.

Can the talks be uploaded to YouTube following the conference? This sounds very interesting but I am not in the UK.

Hi all - sorry, I'm not sure how to tag specific users (luddite or what, eh?).

Thanks all so much for your interest and support. The conference will be starting at 8:45 with first talk due to start at (roughly) 9:15ish, running until about half 5/6pm.

Specific talk timings and agenda line up etc will be released closer to the event date once we have speaker availability fully locked in (some can only do half days etc).

I think there is a plan to record it, but I'm not 100% on this, will check and get back.

Thanks as well for the kind words about my writing. Hopefully I'll get to meet some of you at the conference!
