Today I:

1 posted on this board

2 broached the subject of switching from the Saturday Guardian to The Times with DH.

Told you small was ok!

I openly discussed with a female colleague (who has a DD13) and male colleague (with 2 young DS's) that the terminology "man up" and "grow some balls" is damaging for girls and boys on many levels.

It led to discussions of girls being labelled "bossy" but boys being labelled "assertive"; and also discussions around mental health issues in young boys and men who struggle to with emotions because of the social conditioning.

Today at a Food bank, I supplied a homeless woman with a substantial batch of San pro because she revealed she has a flooding issue and when she's been before she's been served by men who have just put panty liners in her parcel. One heck of a moment of solidarity, that was.

UpstartCrow · 12/09/2018 18:01

Oh Floral Sad

I just got back from the supermarket, minus some leaflets

stillathing · 13/09/2018 12:46

yesterday i ploughed through the city of london consultation on making everything there "gender neutral" by our friend mr lord.

FOR ANYBODY WHO HASN'T DONE IT, IT FINISHES TOMORROW!!!!

today i can be found rocking in a corner muttering "you mean sex, not gender. you mean sex, not gender. you mean sex, not gender"

greenlanes · 13/09/2018 20:09

I am only on Q11 of the City of London consultation. God give me strength. But it is imperative that people reply to this. It is shit coming for biologically born women. Happy to share my replies so far. #losing thewilltolive

NothingWithoutEffort · 13/09/2018 20:21

Oh, can someone please share the link for the consultation that closes tomorrow and their answers? Thanks 🙂.

RogerAllamsFangirl · 13/09/2018 20:30

I commented on FB on a hilarious new GG advert that says something like "Society gives girls labels, we give them badges." I pointed out that their trans policy was the ultimate exercise in labelling (and also talked about the safeguarding issues).

NothingWithoutEffort · 13/09/2018 21:10

Thanks @greenlanes 🙂.

BingBongSong · 13/09/2018 21:24

Done. Thanks for the reminder, Greenlanes!

Yesterday I joined the WEP.

Also, in my role-that-involves-children, I insisted that at least one girl be offered the opportunity I provide.(hmm, doesn’t sound that great)

I complained that my son’s GCSEsyllabus includes not one word by a woman

This morning I will be telling another friend my views.

However, I have an exam on 4th Oct that I haven’t studied for. Passing it will strengthen my voice. So I’m signing out for a couple of weeks.

I’ve just printed out 300 copies of James Kirkup’s latest piece to hand out at my daughter’s football match this morning.

scepticalwoman · 15/09/2018 09:15

I shared screenshots of the trans lobby training for schools that tells teachers to keep a child's secret about transitioning. I shared them with police officers working in a paedophile online investigation unit.

They were horrified (and took copies).

Shampooeeee · 15/09/2018 09:47

I steeled my ovaries to share a gender critical article on fb.

poshme · 15/09/2018 10:16

I asked a friend who is a guide leader what she bought about their trans policy- she wasn't aware of it and was horrified.

She's going to ask a senior person about it and express her concerns.

GulagMilkMonitor · 15/09/2018 19:18

I handed out about 50 copies of the article and told people about the guides, refuges and a number of key issues re self ID. Every single person had been clueless that this is happening. Most of them are writing to to their schools, local groups and MPs. We live close to a women’s prison and a few wanted to organise a protest.

Offline grass roots works.

ILuvBirdsEye · 15/09/2018 19:24

I am in awe of you ladies. Grass roots politics at it's best.

WineGummyBear · 15/09/2018 19:32

Great thread. Some great ideas on here. You are all inspirational!

ILuvBirdsEye · 15/09/2018 23:49

Done the City Corporation survey here

ILuvBirdsEye · 15/09/2018 23:56

Have signed up to the WEP - let's see how it goes.

ILuvBirdsEye · 16/09/2018 00:03

And donated to WPUK

That's me for today! I have friends coming over next weekend - will print some pages off for them to read alongside the dinner I will be cooking them Smile

wheretoevenbegin · 16/09/2018 00:12

Fair Play for Women have started a new crowdfunder. Just 2 weeks after they printed their flyers, they need more! And they're going to shoot more films too.

The campaign's going really well, give it a boost here: www.crowdfunder.co.uk/handsoffmyrights/?

ILuvBirdsEye · 16/09/2018 00:17

Done that too! Am on a roll today (to make up for the last few weeks sitting on my hands) Smile

CrackpotsArePots · 16/09/2018 06:54

Stickered quite a few busy places yesterday

Filled in my councils Equality consultation document. Littered with conflation of sex and gender, uses the term 'gender assigned at birth'. Pfft.

Donated to Fairplay for women

CrackpotsArePots · 16/09/2018 10:13

Finally started filling in the GRA consultation. Blimey!
