There's a programme on Radio 4 on it now for anyone interested. Not sure what tack it will take.

I heard the first five minutes or so before I got out of the car and the voice of Alice just made me think of a child right away. The fact that she's 4ft9 and the biggest earner...I couldn't bear any more.

That was a tough listen. It's crossing continents if anyone wishes to listen to it on catch up.

This is an article from Julie Bindel, from 2007 on the brothels in Nevada.

Didn’t Louis Theroux do one of his docos on this a while back. He went to a brothel in Nevada. All the prostitutes were trying to act convinced that it was a much better set up. As usual with Theroux, He was able to coax out their true sadness underneath it all.

I think Julie Bindel included the Nevada brothels in her book, too. I remember reading an article/passage - I think a woman with learning difficulties had been sold to a brothel owner. It was ok though, as another woman always listened outside the door when she saw a client in case the men "realised what they'd got" Sad Angry I may be paraphrasing but I'm sure that was the gist of it.

Thanks for this. Will have a listen later.

I was quite surprised by this, I thought the BBC had completely been taken over by idiots.
