DB introduced me to John Maclean at the weekend, he is a make up artist who dresses in a 'feminine' way but repeatedly refers to himself as a 'man' and 'the man' in his tutorials. I thought his view on make privilege was interesting and worth sharing

I hadn't seen that video of John Maclean before, I'm a huge fan of his and I'm so glad that he has spoken about this topic. His voice is absolutely hypnotic!

I've watched lots of his videos, he's mesmerising! Also refers to himself as 'the man' and 'a man' and has brilliant lines like :

"the only man who takes me home is my chauffeur" when trolls ask him how he feels about tricking men who would fancy him
