Why is feminism - of any flavour - expected to centre anyone that is not female?

They seemed to believe that feminism which centred itself exclusively on females was essentially unfemale, as selfishness and exclusivity were unfemale traits.

My mouth literally fell open when I read this. What gendered, sexist bullshit. Yes, women mustn't centre their themselves, as they are too NICE, it would be counter to their gentle, caring natures to think of someone other than themselves.

Fuck's sake, this crap is taking us back to ideas about women dating from the 1800;s.

So if we want to get rid of gender sterotypes, then we were not acting as they expect women should?

there we are then, feminism is still needed.

It didn't make sense to me, but, because I didn't understand all their terminology, I wasn't sure why it didn't make sense.

Obviously what they were saying didn't make sense because it was nonsense!
