Of course, if self-id comes in, they wouldn't need to be "dressed as a woman".

This literally NEVER happens!

Popchyk · 28/08/2018 14:38

Not only did it never happen in the first place.

It could never happen.

VickyEadie · 28/08/2018 14:52

And you have to wonder how many times it does actually happen and women are just not aware of it - especially with regard to voyeurism.

I hope his defence team make it clear that it never happens because men don't go to the trouble of dressing as women to commit a crime. It would be too humiliating.

This isn't meant to be goody but could somebody post a link to someone saying 'this never happens'

NothingOnTellyAgain · 28/08/2018 15:31

Link about the book
Halfway down in big quotes

"...as of 2015, there had been no recorded incidents of anyone trans or gender nonconforming being arrested for sexual misconduct in a bathroom within the United States ever, and trans people are far more likely to be the victim in such settings."

Ahem.

TeeJay1970 · 28/08/2018 15:32

Thanks CC

I've had a quick scan - I'll read in more detail later.

On the basis of the quick scan I've learnt something and changed my position.

NothingOnTellyAgain · 28/08/2018 15:33

It's because, logically, anyone who commits these crimes is not "really" trans or gender non conforming, no matter what they say.

It is lterally impossible for a trans or gender non conforming person to commit this type of crime as by definition if they commit this crime they are not trans or gender non conforming.

No matter what they say / self ID as / internal feelings.

And no matter of what Jess Thingy may have been up to with "her" thingy. At the bus stop. Or at the open plan office desk. Etc.

NothingOnTellyAgain · 28/08/2018 15:35

Shocking misgendering in that article in the OP.

Literal violence.

Women frequently drop their phones while using the toilet and have to reach their hands under to fetch it. Sometimes the phone switches on to record - you know how fiddly modern phones are.

Looks like transphobia from the woman in the bathroom AND the police to me.

NothingOnTellyAgain · 28/08/2018 15:37

And apart from the fact that everyone on the planet is gender nonconforming to a greater or a lesser degree.

Even the pinkest of pink princesses will break wind audibly while watching TV by themselves every once in a while.

sillage · 28/08/2018 15:55

I'm sure she was just leaning really, really far forward while looking at her phone at the bottom of the stall when this bigoted woman assumed the worst.

NothingOnTellyAgain · 28/08/2018 19:40

The poor woman looks so upset in the police snapshot.
