No connection to reality.

Tanith · 28/08/2018 13:30

At least they can no longer pretend that it is an innocent reference, not a slur.

HavingALittleBabyToolshed · 28/08/2018 13:38

One reply is “punching terms is ok” surely threatening violence to anyone is against Twitter’s ToS?

BarbieBrightSide · 28/08/2018 13:39

"like, even referring to these folks as feminists is, to me, a failure to control the conversation. on no level is it useful to describe people who spend their free time trying to get trans people ostracized or killed "feminists""

First thing I read on the link. It's all about the control isn't it? And back to pretending that it is women who are the ones inciting violence rather than TRAs. How predictable

HavingALittleBabyToolshed · 28/08/2018 13:41

It’s strange how anti-female activists fight to have their violence heard whilst women just fight to be allowed to be heard.

YessicaHaircut · 28/08/2018 13:42

So...feminists who centre the rights of women and girls are misogynists, because they obviously hate women? The mind boggles.

Needmoresleep · 28/08/2018 13:51

These social media echo chambers....

NotTerfNorCis · 28/08/2018 15:01

Right now, with 'terf', they can claim it's a descriptive acronym for gender critical feminists. 'You're a radical feminist aren't you? You exclude transwomen from your definition of women? Then you're a trans-exclusionary radical feminist!' They wouldn't be able to do that with TERM. Feminists by definition are not misogynist.

NotTerfNorCis · 28/08/2018 15:13

even referring to these folks as feminists is, to me, a failure to control the conversation

That reminds me of Fidelbogen, an MRA who was dedicated to redefining feminism. He believed MRAs had the right to take the definition of feminism away from feminists, and it was important that they did. Now TRAs are using the same tactics.

Despite the deviousness of this, anti woman activists are not the brightest.

Being able to control the conversation is not a reasonable expectation. Males don't get to decide which women are feminists. Especially woman hating incel types like many of the tweeters on that thread.

SingeBuggerCack · 28/08/2018 16:40

It’s meaningless. How many of the likes are from accounts based outside of the U.K., the US or Canada for example? What’s the combined population of those countries? It’s a drop in the ocean really

Ereshkigal · 28/08/2018 16:45

Twitter is an endless sea of stupid.

heresyandwitchcraft · 28/08/2018 17:06

To be fair, trans activists the most anti-term people I have ever seen.
Term:
"a word or phrase used to describe a thing or to express a concept, especially in a particular kind of language or branch of study."
TRAs are on a relentless quest to demolish terms.
So far they've targeted:
Woman
Lesbian
Female
Reality
Sex
Biology
Vagina
.....
It is pretty accurate.
They hate terms.
And anyone who thinks words should have meaning.
It's a little awkward.
Well done TRAs - the first step is admitting you hate the dictionary.
