How are they going to police that? Do they propose to make all attendees strip off and undergo in-depth psychological analysis to check what sex their energy is?

Floral - I think it's for me trying to overcome an upbringing in an extremely sneering anti-woo family + they were the ones who encouraged me to do whatever I wanted but actually it was clear that male coded things were awesome and female coded things were crap.

I am still very much not a woo person but I am trying to be a bit less judgey in my head about the people who are! I mean if it makes them happy then so what really.

I think the steam is just a relatively pleasant (?) sensation rather than being of any benefit, the purpose is more to focus attention on, and care for, ones vulva/ vagina, which is not a bad thing imo.

Nothing, I get you - there are times during my period when my vulva gets a bit achy, and I can see that applying something warm and nice smelling could be quite pleasant.

I just can't see how it can work in practise - squatting to get your bits close enough to a bowl of hot water to get some benefit without dangling in the wrong bits/clothing, kicking it over, or falling over yourself, or getting cramp from the squatting sounds near on impossible, so it'll have to be a no, and I'll stick with hot waterbottles/baths (or rather, showers at present - in a flat with no bath :( )

Now, there are big conversations (arguments) about children and women's things. Some say that male children should be exlcuded. Some say that male children over a certain age should be excluded. Some say that most women have kids and many have little support and so to essentially exclude women because they have children is highly anti-feminist.

It's up to the festival but if that is their child policy - then they are exlcuding lots of women (who have babies that they BF / boys / younger girls and no one to look after them) but they INCLUDE adult men.

They are indirectly excluding many single mothers too. Even if a parent can make care arrangements, four days is a long time for a child under four to be away from their primary caregiver, breastfed or not.

I think they're analysing the auras at the gate and not letting through those with the blue auras.

This festival wants to exclude even younger girls (why????????) and all boys, but will let MEN in!!!! It's got no logic at all. With the usual arguments around kids (male) and women only things, I can see both sides of the argument (although I have a firm view of my own), with this, it's just fucking ludicrous.

Presumably they will let in boys who ID as girls, I mean why wouldn't they. And they will never menstruate, so there is no lower age limit like there is with the girls. I doubt anyone will try this but you never know!
