Maybe they need to report the hate crime website for committing a transphobic hate crime?

I say this in jest, while knowing it is entirely possible this will happen.

SingeBuggerCack · 24/08/2018 22:55

Is being victimised by an article the same as being assaulted by a piece of paper ?

Well, papercuts can be really nasty, you know. Literal violence.

I truly despair. If they want to feel victimised then come to my backwater of a town, It won't be newspaper articles or females/feminists (my friends/protectors when out) but straight guys, So full of rage to be confronted by a gay/trans guy like me and then give verbal abuse or the kicking I/we richly deserve.

Absolute waste of police time. as per usual when it comes to stuff like this. I am sure that there are some genuine hate crimes committed towards trans people (likely mostly by men) but this kind of thing makes it all a bit of a joke really.

IIRC - the EA 2010 protects "Gender Reassignment" - the process of moving from one gender to another.
Not "gender identity." This is a subtle but important distinction, because someone's internal feeling of identity isn't technically covered - the perceived process of "reassignment" ("transition") is...

thebewilderness · 26/08/2018 00:48

It may seem a small difference but to qualify as gender reassignment you must make the commitment to live your life in your new gender. The EA is quite explicit that it is necessary to have the protected characteristic. You can't just identify as the opposite sex and bingo protected by anti discrimination law.

bd67th those links to police forces are absolutely chilling.

FFS

I hope they do send the boys in blue round to Sarah Vine's house. Help accelerate the peak trans that I see going on across the country now
