I've been binge watching youtube videos to bring myself up to speed, but I wondered if anyone could recommend some good writing. I've read everything by Kathleen Stock, but what else is out there?

Sheila Jeffreys is prolific and highly recommended

The McCarthyism of Transgender and the Sterilization of Transgender Children;

Cordelia Fine's Delusions of Gender - doesn't address trans ideology but it does look at supposed gendered brain differences.

Sheila Jeffreys Gender Hurts.

Thanks for the link to Jeffrey's Queer Disappearance of Lesbians. It's clever and incredibly prescient. Also a neat introduction to the context of key texts in queer theory (Judith Butler and Eve Sedgwick).

Predictably, Gender Hurts has been torn apart by most academic reviewers. Personally, I think it could have avoided some of the accusations if it had been better researched.

Another book that has been mentioned elsewhere is Female Erasure by Ruth Barrett (published in 2016).
