This is insanity. I'm disagree with a lot of feminist issue and arguments. However, I keep reading about the trans issue with increasing dismay. I can generally disagree with people but understand that their viewpoint is valid. On this I can't.

My dad was at the gym last week when 3 men came in, one of them started kicking my dads gym bag around the changing room.
My dad is 75 but is still pretty fit and isn't scared of anyone.
Upshot is he made the man bring it back and made him say "sorry sir".
But what if that had been my DD? How intimating and scary it would be?

Maybe someone should start a thread for cataloging 'things, which women predicted would happen that they said would never happen, happened'?

I emailed my gym to clarify their position on this situation. I made it clear that sharing a changing space with someone of the opposite sex was against my religion (which is protected under law) and I would need to cancel my membership if this was part of their policy.

Reader, my gym are phoning me back.

It keeps coming back to this, as Posie put previously. Does an 11 year old girl have the right to not have to see an adult male penis in the female changing rooms? (Admittedly she worded it better than me!)

This is the email I sent to Any Answers a few weeks ago when the subject came up. I was pleased they read it out:
Last week I visited the gym. I showered and changed in the women's changing room, an open space with benches and hooks for clothes, but no cubicles. Showers have flimsy curtains.
In the changing room with me were two girls aged 12-13. There was no one else. I am a 65 year old woman, but with gender self ID I could have been a predatory fully male bodied man - no surgery or hormone treatment - simply claiming to be a woman in order to access women's spaces. It is known that these predatory men enter professions that give them access to vulnerable people, so why shouldn't we believe that such a man would use gender self-ID to do this?

I have granddaughters and I am concerned for their safety if proposed changes to the GRA are implemented. I have sympathy for those individuals suffering from gender dysphoria and feel they should be given appropriate medical help, but their rights should not be prioritised over those of women and girls.

I agree. Reddit is full of fantasists and men writing out their sexual fantasies for their own and other people's gratification.

However, allowing any male person into female only spaces makes this scenario a very real possibility. Something we are expected to pretend won't happen, or if it does, is no big deal.
