HOW many trans women are in intimate relationships with men where they are subjected to violence or control? Not many I would wager because those sorts of men don't have relationships with TW. Yes, TW are at high risk of street-harassment and violence from strangers, but I do not think they are at risk of partner-violence in any way near the same way as women are. Yet Julia wants to spread the message that actually violence against natal women isn't that serious and that the FP should focus on trans women.

I absolutely agree. Coming hard on the heels of that appallingly manipulative Stonewall survey which didn't bother to ask any abused women what they thought and which the anti woman activists on social media think is a massive gotcha. This is a calculated push.

Women's Aid, Fawcett etc need to take heed of this. I cannot believe the sustained attack on women-only services that is going on - I can only assume that the easy capitulation to the TAs is funding related - ie. they'll stop getting it unless they embrace the trans-inclusive stance.

Also - great page of "if your feminism..." in the replies - I've only seen that used against us. (Jeez they're even trying to take feminism away from us )
