It has been renamed the “All Genders, Lifestyles, and Identities Film festival".

I can’t help but wonder whether this impressive display of wokeness will create a backlash. I mean it’s one thing to erase women, but quite another to erase men, right?

It certainly implies that a range of 'interesting' folk might reasonably assume they were included now. Tommy Robinson and his mates are probably on their way as we speak.

There would not be any defensive virtue signalling if the named it a Film Festival.

Perhaps they could include drawings and photgraphs and not just limit it to 'moving pictures' if they want to be really inclusive....

"Lifestyles" is a bullshit tabloid term for being gay or lesbian.

And being gay or lesbian certainly isn't an identity - it's a sexuality.

It seems quite homophobic to erase being gay or lesbian from a film festival which traditionally highlights issues and experiences linked to being homosexual or bisexual.

So, what films will they be showing? Presumably not ones exclusively featuring gay or lesbian characters

I hear they have a fascinating selection of short films by Practical Caravanning TV, and some of the Himalayan cookery films are spectacular.

It is 'All Lives Matter'. One wonders why its acceptable to forbid G&L people an exclusive event showcasing G&L film, if it's not acceptable to forbid Black Lives Matter from having a campaign about police violence towards black people.
Of course it's because sexuality excludes the gender mysticism that should be "centred" everywhere.
