My parents only had one son and a LOT of daughters - they made it clear we were all loved the same way. Actually, if anything my brother was treated slightly harsher by mum. Dad was always working but backed mum up every time.
As a result, my brother is pretty decent. I would say there isn't a misogynistic bone in his body.
