There's a new production of the Stephen Sondheim show Company coming to London, "to reflect our modern era".
This means that all the original roles have been "gender swapped", with the result that the lead character is now female - yay!
There is also the introduction of a same sex couple - yay! - but of course that means two men.
And the number of main roles for female actors has decreased (I think from seven to four) and the number of main roles for male actors has increased (I think from six to nine)
