Twas just an example of a GC thing that would likely ruffle employer feathers. The op isn't giving much to go on but we're assuming the expression of GC views. It alright Bowl, you don't need to gatekeeper me, namechanged due to doxxing worries.

MrPan I had experience of this a while ago. I had very good union support, and amazing support via friends who were also able to send through to me lots of ideas from some other groupings of people who also had this experience. Comments here were very helpful too (I namechange frequently as I was told I should not talk of the issue in my own name on social media).

Can't say too much as a lot of it happened through anonymous back-channels. Awful that in 2018 I had to be advised via "secret" groups.

But my union was my first port of call, and the union case adviser was fantastic. As was the Employee Assistance programme - the adviser I spoke to knew about 'doxxing' - I was doxxed as have you been.

Happy to respond to PMs although I'm obviously wary of giving too much away even by PM.

Thanks Rice - not 'doxxing' as I think it means.

And yes, being very careful about what you quite legally say anywhere in case your employment is put at risk is def. a new environment.

Sadly, I am suspecting that the 'complainant' is going to try to do their worst (and all TRAs will do that if given the chance), and I am having to change my on-line profile to avoid more shit. And that includes the MN handle Pan, and variations thereof since 2006, and twitter and fb arrangements.

Oh dear - having to 'go underground'. Blimey.

no more pans. Sad

Apologies REO.

I’ve just been reading the two threads on Jess Bradley on AIBU and FWR. The difference in the language allowed on each board is striking.

Good luck Pan - I’m fairly careful about what I say anywhere on SM but in a world where noting scientific fact is seen as threatening all bets are off...

placemats · 01/08/2018 11:22

Good luck Pan.

I was doxxed re Man Friday and Facebook. However they don't know where I work. I changed my name on Facebook too - a variant of my name and let all my friends know that I was doxxed.

placemats · 01/08/2018 11:23

PS I got very supportive messages.

thanks again for wishes. it's a real education to find out just how far large organisations are running scared of the 'transphobe' accusation and even bending formal procedures to facilitate the accusers.
I've rebuffed the first 'wave' procedurally this week but it won't stop. I have a wife now, and daughter and they come first.
obv I will be in FWR to pick up any tips for representation.
thank you.

Good Lord, it’s terrifying. I’m sorry MrPan. Long time lurker on these issues but outspoken in my rl, stopped lurking to tell you how disgusting it is that someone would hunt and harry people for saying basic facts. We live in a terrible world.

BoreOfWhabylon · 01/08/2018 21:38

Good luck Pan. This is among the reasons why I have absolutely no social media in my name and talk very little about my life or my work.

It's like the bloody Stasi!
