There is no doubt that the gender critical position is being disseminated widely and people are waking up.
That results in a ramping up of the trans-ideology.
And yet, 82% of the general public arent buying it.
Two years ago 15,000 people accessed mumsnet via the feminist boards, this month it's 177,000.
I don't tend to look at this situation as a win or a lose over this government's consultation. It's a longer game than that.
We have entered the game after half-time, and, we probably need to go into extra time to get the result we want (topically speaking!).
But I sincerely think that this kind of ridiculous threatening rhetoric backfires.
It might, in the short term, make people at the Met, or whatever, go oh my God what's happening, what shall we do?
But it's a characteristic of this ideology that it has no legs. After the 15th time of hearing someone talk bollocks, you suddenly think hang on, that's, um, utter bollocks.
There is a reason why the term peak trans has resonated with so very many people. It is a definite journey.
But it always, always only goes one way.
