LBC - Ian Collins on trans issues (late night)

Unlike his fellow presenter James O'Brien, Ian seems to be a GC ally.

He's mentioned trans issues in passing and/or in detail most nights I've been listening recently, and as I type, is explaining the lunacy of children (for example) liking the gendered toys must = trans.

He's also touched on the women's prisons issue, the puberty blockers, the oppression olympics of it all. And, importantly, why it's not being talked about.

He also made a couple more comments but I was too comfy to turn over and get my phone to post again last night, in particular referring to the "new" type of trans people as wanting "gender on demand" which I thought was a neat way of phrasing it.

He also had a caller who was a mother of a female to male trans child (one with apparently severe gender dysphoria, not just a 'whim'). She was quite clear that there was a psychological element to it, and there should be far more psychiatric assistance/input/guidance into things before any drugs are prescribed or surgery mooted. So now the overtly supportive mother of a trans child can be labeled utterly transphobic (according to the manifestos we've seen) for not thinking drugs or surgery on demand is a good idea...

(Something I also saw elsewhere yesterday was explicitly naming the suggestion of "male lesbians" which might make things more obvious to people)
