Listened to this in the car today and loved his story and music. I always like it when people choose music they really like not records that they think portray them or their life story well.
It struck me that age 6 saying he wanted to do sewing not woodwork and persuading the teacher to let all the boys do sewing, and his dad taking him to choose a doll that he could make dresses for would make him trans fodder today. He is just a few years younger than me so grew up before trans was a "thing" but he seems now a content gay man and I wonder why gay men aren't as concerned about the trans ideology of sexual stereotyping as lesbians are as it affects them just as much. It's OK for boys to like sewing and fashion and it's OK for girls to like football and electronics.
