This academic paper makes me want to cry. It states that gender is assigned at birth and it pathologises gender atypical behaviour in children.

When academics and medical professionals are writing this stuff, I feel it means we have lost the battle. Where are the academic and medical voices of sanity saying that kids can play with anything, wear anything and have long or short hair as they please without it risking them being medicated and having healthy bits of their bodies chopped off?

Academics write all sorts of twaddle. When I studied psychology I loved going through research papers to spot the inaccuracies, discrepancies and flags in the research.
