Hello everyone. I would just like to let everyone know that we are busy at Fair Play For Women reviewing the GRA consultation documents and will be producing some guidance and other info materials to help you fill in the consultation. Keep an eye out on our website.

The consultation is open until mid October. You can also save your answers on line and go back to add to them over the next couple of months. There's no need to submit your response straight away unless you really can't wait :-)

Fair Play For Women will also be producing campaign materials to get the message out to the public. All women need to know so the consultation reflects the concerns and issues of all women. Please help us spread the word and recommend us as a reliable information source. Funds to help us generate campaign materials also very welcome of course!

Thank you. We all appreciate the good work that you do.

Popchyk · 06/07/2018 14:36

Thank you for doing this. I found your guidance to the Scottish consultation really helpful when I was filling that in.

I will wait for guidance before I start on the GRA consultation.

niceberg · 06/07/2018 14:45

enoughisenough12 · 06/07/2018 14:56

Good to hear. Brilliant organisation.

UpstartCrow · 06/07/2018 15:38

You can also save your answers on line and go back to add to them over the next couple of months.

That's really helpful, thank you. I was feeling a bit pressured as it seems there are a lot of questions and they need in depth answers.

LangCleg · 06/07/2018 15:46

Thank you.

Can I ask that your guidance addresses the damage already done to EqA exemptions via organisations trying to "get ahead of the law" as the Labour Party puts it, in the wake of the Miller report? I want to include something about this in my response and anything you could do to help with that would be gratefully received.

invisibleoldwoman · 06/07/2018 15:56

Thank you. Have donated and will try to donate again but may not be till the end of the month.

@DoctorW
I know you must be very busy but could you please have a look at this thread below and the serious concerns shared?

Sarahconnor1 · 06/07/2018 19:41

Thank you. This will be my first response to a consultation.

Can I echo Langclegs plea 're addressing the damage already done by those 'ahead of the law'

PencilsInSpace · 06/07/2018 20:07

Thank you!

whitehandledkitchenknife · 06/07/2018 20:16

Thank you for all that you are doing at FPFW.

It feels like cramming for an exam and we need to give informed, accurate and verifiable answers.
All help gratefully received.

QuarksandLeptons · 06/07/2018 20:43

Thank you FPFW Smile

MsBeee · 06/07/2018 20:56

So they want to hear from
"Organisations working to support individuals of a particular gender – such as women’s groups providing support to victims of violence or sexual assault;"
Gender ???
How about wanting to hear from the women who use them.

The consultation seems very biased in its questions and who it wants to hear from.

pombear · 06/07/2018 21:12

Just wanted to add my voice to say thank you DrW and all those at Fairplay.

There are so many concerns, so many things a lot of us want to say, and I'm sure we'll be able to use your guidance as a base to then personalise it to our own language, concerns etc, but to have a focused area to support our thinking around those responses and ensure we're covering the things we know to be of concern is really helpful.

nailak · 09/07/2018 10:06

Please post them here when they are done.
I'm finding it hard to fill in and too know where to write my concerns

PersonWithAVulva · 09/07/2018 14:44

Kind of wish I had waited to fill mine in now, of course there would be some guidance.

Mind, I seem to have persuaded my mother, sister and a few friends (mainly female, but a couple of males too) to fill it in too. My transsexual cousin, who is extremely gender critical is doing it also. She hates all of this stereotype nonsense and says the only way to actually be trans is to suffer dysphoria about your sexed body, and even then it does not mean you are the opposite sex, it means you have a mental condition that may be eased somewhat by having surgeries/treatment.
