I’ve just had an email regarding the topic of my local CLP meeting which is trans inclusivity in the Labour Party and how it relates to the GRA.

I’m planning on attending, does anyone have any suggestions for pertinent questions please?

I'd have to ask about all women shortlists, and what percentage of candidates can be transgender.
If there is a quota then trans women are not women. If not then all the candidates can be trans and still be said to represent women.
Good luck!

Send this to the chair and ask it's distributed prior to the start of the meeting, or read out before the debate begins.

Bearing in mind that AWS were invented to get us to a 50/50 split of men/women in parliament and we’re still not actually there yet, I would suggest Labour would perhaps be better off finding an alternative way to ensure transpeople are proportionately represented in parliament, one that is also inclusive of transmen and non binary people?
