By distinguishing between transexuals and "males who identify as women but wish to retain their male bodies", a reader could be led to believe that transsexual males never retain their male bodies.
Anyone born male has a male body though.
They might use hormones, surgery & cosmetics to various extents to replicate the female body but it's still the body they were born in, with XY chromosomes, prostate etc. I don't think it's realistic or helpful to imply that they can actually change their body's sex and in some cases - like diagnosing a heart attack or prostate cancer - it could be life-threatening.
