On now. About the GRA consultation. Skimmed hastily over the trans issue, but Jane Garvey seems to get it... "Women are expected, once again, to move over...'

Also, the news that WH will be looking at gender in more depth in the autumn. Particular emphasis on women who identify as men (hallelujah)

I would love WH to interview gender non conforming women about their experiences

On top of Nick Robinson this morning it's sounding rather positive.

Didn't want to start another thread on this day of much radio coverage, but I'm now listening to You and Yours and their discussion of 'what it's like to be LGBT in Britain today.' Missed the beginning, but heard only men's voices - gay men - but conflating the current issues around trans with homophobia in previous generations.

BUT - a lesbian has just been given airtime. Didn't catch her name, but she was brilliant and neatly summed up the hostility and threat faced by the L in LGBT. The LGBT spokesperson in the studio instantly tried to minimise, of course ('we're trying to be inclusive' blah blah) They mentioned that they'd had other emails on the same subject, saying the same thing, but sadly resumed immediate coverage of men's experiences and voices.

Move over and give us some room. Glory Box

Yes she was brilliant but her point was quickly buried and wiped over by the guest who said that lesbian groups were inclusive - I felt that needed clarification.

"Women are expected, once again, to move over...'

Yes, that's exactly it. Good stuff Jane

They're asking for contributions for a programme coming up on gender debates. That will be interesting.
