Today looks like being a bit busy with announcements of all kinds expected. At 'Let a woman speak' we've decided to sneak in an early one.

The website is now live at www.letawomanspeak.org and the next meeting will be in Plymouth on the 25th August. Tickets are on sale now at Eventbrite www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/let-a-woman-speakabout-womens-rights-tickets-47623163163

It's a great line-up, really interesting speakers (Stephanie Davies-Arai, Miranda Yardley, Nic Williams and Abigail Rowland). We're really grateful to them and the amazing, generous MNetters who are giving their time and support behind the scenes- I really wish I could name names and deeds. But they know who they are and they have our thanks Grin

Fab line-up! Hoping everyone who can come will do so. It’s so important we speak about this as much as possible over the consultation period.

The Truro meeting was a friendly and welcoming event with some great speakers, get along to the Plymouth meeting if you can.

Thanks everyone. We’ve got some of the key players speaking at this event and we are honoured to host them. Let’s not be silenced at this crucial stage - with the consultation just around the corner we need to be talking about this as much as possible.

This is fabulous! Well done, wims.

Stilettosandan0venglove · 03/07/2018 09:46

What a line up! Congratulations to you for making this happen.

Writersblock2 · 03/07/2018 10:32

Thanks for the support. It's going to be an amazing event. There are even some rumours some other wonderful prominent activists may be in the audience...:D

If anyone can make it, then try to do so - the socialising alone after is worth it. Plus it's the Saturday of the Bank Holiday weekend, so you can make a trip of it. :D

I missed the Truro event, so glad there's a follow up.

The website looks fab!

OvaHere · 03/07/2018 18:36

Anyone else from the South West going to this meeting?

Writersblock2 · 31/07/2018 17:07

I’m hoping so! Everyone seems a bit quiet! Where are you all?

Melamin · 31/07/2018 17:11

Probably the Jess Bradley thread! [brain bleach]

SwearyG · 31/07/2018 20:49

Glad this popped up. Must buy my ticket!

Ereshkigal · 31/07/2018 20:52

I'm thinking about coming to this and making it a little holiday in the SW. I'm off that week.

Writersblock2 · 31/07/2018 21:26

@Ereshkigal - do it!!!! We’ve been having some gorgeous weather lately. There’s lots to see and do (and we can all give you tips on the quieter times/places if you’re driving). :)
