She has already been sacked before she was appointed because of the blog - and has unreservedly apologised.

This is old news. This all came to light when she was first elected. Goodness knows why they are giving her a ministerial post- even by the low standards at Holyrood she is pretty useless.

Thank goodness for that. She would be useless. Why was she even being considered? She was hauled over the coals 2 years ago for this blog.

Ten years ago Gillian Martin was 39 years old. She is a graduate so hasn't even the excuse she was young and/or uneducated.

I don't see how she can ever be given responsibility for education now and to me her apologies read more as saying that she recognised that he cannot say those things and have political aspirations when what was needed was a clear recognition that what she said was wrong. I see no reason at this point to believe her views have changed.

When you are a member of a political party which makes a living out of demonising one group then you can hardly be surprised when they slip up and demonise another too.

That woman hates everyone, it appears. What a flood of nasty quoted!

Quotes, not quoted. That was startling. My autocorrect changed the word actually as I hit Post. I saw it happen.

There was more. I appreciate The Sun is not always a wholly reliable source but the less partisan Evening Express also had the bit about black waiters avoiding black customers so I'm inclined to believe it.
